A screenwriting editor. No installs, no friction, no cost. A blank page and whatever story you’ve been putting off.
§ about
ONDAS was built by Macy Veil — a screenwriter who spent too many years fighting his own tools. Final Draft crashed mid-draft. Subscription fees kept climbing. He wanted something that just worked, looked right, and stayed out of his way. So he built it himself.
It runs in your browser. Open a script and start writing. Fountain syntax handles formatting as you go. When you’re done, export to PDF, Final Draft, or plain Fountain. Whatever your production needs.
Two quotes, four letters, and the formatting just happens.
""char, ""pars, ""dial, ""actl, ""slug, ""trans — every element of the screenplay has a code.
Scene headings, page breaks, dialogue, transitions. All of it, without leaving the keyboard. If you’ve ever used Vim, you’ll feel it.
One keystroke and everything else disappears. Just the text, centered on the page. No panels, no menus, no cortisol.
Leave margin notes without cluttering the script. Color-code revision rounds the way productions actually do. Blue pages, pink pages, yellow. Add images too, if you’re Fargeat. Everything is customizable.
A canvas where your scenes live as cards. Arrange them however your brain needs. By act, by thread, scattered across the board. When a scene is ready, drag it into the script. Rearrange on the canvas and the script rearranges with it.
Good for finding structure before you’ve written a single line.
When it’s ready, export to whatever your producer or collaborator needs. Formatted exactly as the industry expects.
Chrome, Brave, Safari. Works in all of them. No download, no update prompts. Your scripts are saved locally and in the cloud, so they’re there when you come back.
§ how it works
Open and begin writing. No setup, no preferences. You’re on the page in seconds. Sign in to keep your work in sync.
Use the shortcut system to format as you go.""char, ""dial, ""actl — the structure builds itself while you think about the story.
Open the beat board, rearrange, add notes, color the revision rounds. Rewrite as many times as the script needs.
Background, fonts, regional formatting, and more. Customize everything manually, or let ONDAS do it. The theme shifts automatically based on your typing speed. Stay in the mood.
PDF, FDX, Fountain. Bring in an existing script or send it out to your producer, your agent, or just your drawer.
Final Draft costs $249. WriterSolo wants a subscription. ONDAS just want you to write.
